Rodger Burnett has a wide range of dispute resolution experience gained acting for both claimants and defendants, first as a barrister and then as a solicitor at Baker & McKenzie LLP and Hausfeld & Co LLP.
Rodger’s primary area of expertise is in commercial litigation. He has dealt with business critical issues for FTSE 100 companies, and small and medium sized enterprises. He also acts for private individuals in relation to contractual and negligence claims and has undertaken a large number of claims with regards Japanese knotweed.
Rodger has acted in a number of large follow-on damages claims before the courts of England & Wales arising out of competition law infringements. This includes litigation arising out of the marine hose, the copper fittings, the copper tubes and the car glass cartels. As well as having day-to-day conduct of these cases Rodger was also involved in the funding aspects. As well as competition litigation Rodger has also been involved in financial services litigation including the alleged manipulated of LIBOR and EURIBOR.
As well as litigating cases, Rodger also has an in depth understanding of alternative dispute resolution and is keen to continue to provide clients with early pro-active advice on how to resolve disputes in a pragmatic and commercial way.
